Two new Single Authorisations in the Marche and Apulia regions for 11 MW of solar power
The total authorised capacity currently available to the Bologna-based IPP now stands at 340 MW, 10% of which will come online by July.
Bologna, 9 April 2026 – GreenGo announces that it has obtained two new Single Authorisation decrees for two photovoltaic projects in Italy: “Musone”, a 2.2 MW plant in the municipality of Camerano (AN), in the Marche region, and “Vibinum”, an 8.9 MWp plant in the municipality of Bovino (FG), in Apulia.
From a geographical perspective, the new decrees further strengthen the Group’s competitive position in Apulia, a strategic area for GreenGo’s renewable energy development, where the company already has a strong presence with five wind projects totalling approximately 100 MW awaiting authorisation. The approvals also consolidate GreenGo’s presence in the Marche region, where its first photovoltaic plant, “Pianaccio” (5.3 MW), is coming on stream in the municipality of Mondavio (PU).
The progress of the new plants is fully aligned with GreenGo’s business plan to accelerate the conversion of its pipeline into buildable and operational capacity.
2026 development targets
- Reach 328 MW of ready-to-build renewable projects
- Add a further 250 MW of BESS already authorised by 2025
- Commission 33 MW by July
- Reach financial close for the construction of 280 MW, including 150 MW already awarded under FER X and 130 MW contracted under the Energy Release 2.0 programme
Alberto Piva, Business Development and M&A Director at GreenGo, commented:
“We are in a phase of accelerating our transition towards the IPP model. By July, we expect to complete the authorisation process for five additional projects totalling around 100 MW, mainly located in Sicily, Apulia and Calabria. The approval of the Energy Bills Decree yesterday in the Senate paradoxically strengthens GreenGo: our pipeline of over 1 GW is unaffected by the grid-connection reform, having already received technical clearance from Terna and, for the most part, being at an advanced stage of authorisation. What will change is our strategy for developing new initiatives in Northern Italy, adopting a more selective approach to new sites and focusing on faster authorisation pathways.”
About GreenGo
Founded in 2018 as a start-up, GreenGo has rapidly achieved significant milestones under the leadership of Giuseppe Mastropieri, supported by the expertise and dedication of a growing team of high-profile professionals and managers. Today, the company counts approximately 50 employees and collaborators, alongside exclusive partners across Italy.
The partnership with the Eiffel Essentiel fund, launched in 2022 with an initial capitalisation of €7 million and strengthened by a €20 million equity bridge in 2023, has accelerated GreenGo’s growth, positioning the company as a key player in the Italian and Southern European utility-scale renewable energy market.
To date, GreenGo has over 700 MW of authorised capacity across solar, wind and storage technologies, with more than 50% integrated into its Independent Power Producer (IPP) platform, the cornerstone of its current business plan.
Since September 2023, GreenGo has been headquartered at S/PARK – Sustainability Workplace, the green hub located at Via G. Matteotti 31/2 in Bologna. Conceived and developed by Fimm S.r.l., the site represents a major redevelopment of an architecturally and urbanistically significant area and has become a reference point for Italy’s green economy ecosystem.
