GreenGo-ESG-Report-2024

Materiality analysis

The analysis of GreenGo’s activities for implementing ESG in the corporate context was based first on ma- teriality analysis, which identifies positive and negative, current and potential impacts applicable to the Company, and defines material issues used to determine the focus of this sustainability report. According to the GRI Standard methodology, a sustainability topic is relevant if it is related to significant im- pacts of the organisation (impact materiality) – negative or positive, actual or potential – on the economy, environment and people, including impacts on human rights, caused by the organisation’s activities and investments, its products and services or its value chain, in the short, medium and long term. The signifi- cance of the impacts is measured by considering their severity and the probability of their occurrence. The materiality analysis was carried out during the first quarter of 2023, in line with GRI 3 Material Topics 2021 provisions.

The process was developed in the following phases:

  1. Understanding and assessment of the context (business, environment, socio/political) in which GreenGo operates, as well as identification of relevant stakeholders;
  2. Identification of the actual and potential positive and negative impacts that the organisation generates or could generate on the economy, environment, and people, including those on human rights, across its activities and business relationships;
  3. Evaluation of impacts through the involvement of top management;
  4. Prioritisation of impacts and aggregation in material topics.

Stakeholders were identified through a benchmark analysis designed to map the best practices of major industry competitors. This analysis, followed by internal evaluation and prioritisation by top management, identified 5 key stakeholder categories, outlined below.

GreenGo’s team was involved through a workshop to assess and prioritise the identified impacts, during which each impact was discussed and voted on. The impacts were subsequently prioritised, and those deemed significant, above a predefined threshold, were consolidated into material topics. The working group engaged in the process evaluated these topics comprehensively.

The following section presents the material topics and their corresponding impacts, which are featured in this ESG Performance KPI Report. As represented, GreenGo’s team has oriented the choice of materiality topics on the one hand, focusing on the valorisation of the core business and its impacts not only in terms of green energy produced but also in terms of positive effects on local communities and the environment; on the other hand, giving strong emphasis to the enhancement of human resources in the company.
