Favourable EIA assessment from the Region of Sicily for a 9.4 MWp wind farm in the province of Palermo
The GreenGo IPP platform accelerates construction: the goal is to reach 328 MW of RTB renewables by 2026, in addition to the 250 MW of BESS already authorised.
Bologna, 26 February 2026 - GreenGo announces the positive outcome of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the 'Ramata' wind farm project (total capacity 9.4 MWp), located in the municipalities of Gangi and Petralia Soprana (PA).
The procedure was concluded with the adoption of D.A. no. 45/GAB of 19/02/2026 by the Department of Territory and Environment of the Region of Sicily, with a favourable environmental compatibility assessment (art. 25 Legislative Decree 152/2006), a favourable environmental impact assessment (VIncA) (Art. 5 Presidential Decree 357/1997) and a favourable opinion on the compliance of the preliminary plan for the use of excavated earth and rocks (Presidential Decree 120/2017, Art. 24 c. 3), subject to compliance with environmental mitigation requirements.
A key milestone in the GreenGo roadmap towards the IPP model
In a context where timing, procedural complexity and design quality are determining factors, the progress of 'Ramata' consolidates the GreenGo strategy, demonstrating the company's ability to develop solid projects within programmable and rapid timeframes, capable of withstanding environmental scrutiny and integrating, already at the authorisation stage, technical requirements, mitigations and operating conditions consistent with the territory. GreenGo's success rate for BESS and renewable developments is 95% on a proprietary greenfield pipeline of 1,360MW.
Alberto Piva, Business Development and M&A Director at GreenGo, states:
"This result strengthens GreenGo's industrial trajectory at a strategic moment: with our first construction sites now at an advanced stage, with 22 MW coming online at the end of June, part of the total 33 MW under construction. During the year, we expect 328 MWp of new ready-to-build (RTB) projects, in line with our growth strategy as an IPP, where speed of execution, budget control and efficiency in capital deployment are the new frontiers for IPPs in an increasingly selective market expected with the entry into force of the Bollette Decree."
Giovanna La Piana, Head of Development, adds:
"The positive Environmental Impact Assessment on Ramata is a concrete indicator of the maturity of our wind pipeline: 290 MWp in total, with 33% of capacity already having a positive EIA and a growing share in the advanced permitting phase. Focusing our attention on project quality, delivery times and a strong presence in the local area are the key elements for transforming the pipeline into operational plants."
