FER X auctions: GreenGo wins a total of 101 MW
101 MW awarded: 66 MW photovoltaic and 35 MW wind power. Seven new green plants to be launched: 4 photovoltaic plants and 3 wind farms awarded, with initiatives located in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Sicily and Calabria.
GreenGo strengthens its position in the Italian renewable energy market with the GSE awarding 100% of the renewable capacity applied for under the FER X auction mechanism: four photovoltaic plants and three wind farms with a total capacity of 101 MW (equal to approximately 1% of the total volume auctioned).
With this result, GreenGo's total capacity benefiting from national incentive mechanisms - including FER 1 (10.8 MW), PNRR Agrivoltaico (33 MW), and now FER X - stands at 145 MW, confirming the company's role as one of the country's new independent renewable electricity producers.
Admission to the FER X ranking confirms the technical and regulatory soundness of the projects and is part of GreenGo's consolidation as a national Independent Power Producer (IPP), thus tripling its portfolio of projects eligible to operate under the incentive scheme in the medium term.
A new phase in the company's industrial journey
"The outcome of this auction marks a powerful acceleration in the affirmation of GreenGo's industrial project as a multi-tech renewable IPP," says Giuseppe Mastropieri, CEO of GreenGo. "We won with all seven candidate projects. It's a strike with 100% award for a total of 101 MW, the result of a winning strategy made possible by multidisciplinary and intense work involving all company departments. These seven wind and photovoltaic plants demonstrate our ability to project GreenGo among the most dynamic companies in an increasingly competitive and selective market. The challenge now is to build these plants as quickly as possible. The investment ticket for the transitional FER X is €92 million, although we will finance the projects together with other initiatives we are working on and will announce shortly."
The awarding of the projects is part of GreenGo's broader development trajectory, which now has a proprietary pipeline of over 1.35 GW of photovoltaic, wind and BESS
To date, GreenGo has already authorised a capacity of 697 MW of renewable energy plants and greenfield BESS with the aim of exceeding the threshold of 800 MW RTB by April 2026.
Four other solar projects are currently under construction, for a total of 18.8 MW, which will rise to seven (not including the recently awarded FER X) for 33 MW in the first quarter of 2026.
