Energy Release 2.0: 116 companies aggregated by the FIMM group. 1,516 TWh assigned to Latitude for management. Agreement with GreenGo for the construction of 110 MW of new photovoltaic capacity.
Addendum to the GSE Contract signed between Latitude and GreenGo. Latitude to manage subsidies for energy-intensive companies for 3 years: €50 million in the years 2025-2026.
Latitude, a FIMM Group company that operates as an Energy Manager and as a provider of strategic renewable‑energy management services for businesses, and delivers electric mobility solutions as a Charging Point Operator (CPO) through the Eleven brand, announces that it has successfully obtained the incentives provided for in the Energy Release 2.0 programme of Italian Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE).
The initiative involved 116 energy-intensive companies operating in 16 Italian regions, including 81 (70%) in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, involving four local and sectoral Confindustria associations. The aggregate companies represent a total turnover of approximately €9.2 billion, equivalent to 0.4% of national GDP and 0.5% of electricity consumption in Italy. The companies involved belong to various industrial sectors, with a significant prevalence in the ceramics, cement, glass, chemical, mining and food manufacturing sectors.
Through the Latitude aggregation process, a total of 1.5 TWh of electricity has been allocated for the period 2025-2027, equivalent to an annual allocation of 506 GWh.
"Latitude's aggregation has had a national reach thanks to the participation of numerous industrial sectors in a supply chain project that has certainly reached the Top 10 of Energy Release. We are probably the eighth or even seventh largest aggregator in the Italian market. The initiative consolidates our support for energy-intensive companies in the energy transition, facilitating access to support tools with a fair approach to the distribution of benefits designed primarily to alleviate the cost of energy in companies' budgets," says Franco Valentini, General Manager of Latitude.
The energy allocated will result in the construction of new photovoltaic plants across the country, through the financial and industrial commitment of GreenGo, an independent renewable energy producer, also part of the FIMM Group and partly owned by the French investment fund Eiffel Investment Group (€7 billion asset manager), that will be responsible for the development and construction of 110 MW of photovoltaic plants by 2028, of which 55 MW will benefit from a GSE support mechanism that provides an incentive tariff of €65/MWh for 20 years of operation.
The technical quality and regulatory compliance of the projects in interface with the GSE have been ensured by the collaboration of REA, the FIMM Group's technical advisory company.
"Energy Release 2.0 is a virtuous example of a supply chain operation. The synergy between the green economy and the industrial sector is a strategic lever for promoting our manufacturing excellence in Italy and around the world," comments Giuseppe Mastropieri, CEO of GreenGo and Latitude, adding: "We are proud to be a reference point in clean tech and to be committed to the creation of new photovoltaic capacity to support our industries’ competitiveness, contributing with a one-stop-shop solution both to the energy transition and to the economic resilience of the country. Especially today, with an increasingly turbulent and volatile energy market due to regional conflicts – from Ukraine to Iran – the operation helps to strengthen energy security and generate immediate value for companies, combined with our long-term commitment to building a Green Energy Community with our aggregates, with which we are already discussing the possibility of new synergies."
